How is SharePoint structured? Why change to document libraries from file shares and e-Mail? How do I put my documents into SharePoint? How do I find my documents? How do I open my documents? What is Metadata and why should I care? Why would I want to use a SharePoint list when I can use Excel? Can I control who can access content and what they see by default? How do I define a process and make sure people use the correct templates for documents?
Section 2 - SharePoint Day to Day Fundamentals
Why do I want to put my documents into SharePoint? How do I put my documents into SharePoint? Using Libraries: Uploading a document using a browser, Multiple document uploads, Saving directly from Office applications. How do I find my documents? SharePoint search, Outlook integration, Office integration. How do I open my documents? Using Office desktop apps with SharePoint, Office Web Apps and SharePoint.
Section 3 - Libraries, Lists and Permissions
Why change to document libraries from file shares and e-Mail? Creating and Editing Libraries: Document Library, Picture Library, Form Library, Versioning and Check In/Out. What is Metadata and why should I care? Metadata: Creating a new Column, Site Columns, Site Collection Columns, Lookup, Managed Metadata. Why would I want to use a SharePoint list when I can use Excel? Creating and Editing Lists, Task List, Contacts List, Links List, Announcements List, Calendar List, Issue Tracking List, Survey, Survey with branching logic, Custom Lists.
