Course overview

• The main purpose of the course is to give students a good understanding of data analysis with Power BI. The course includes creating visualisations, the Power BI Service, and the Power BI Mobile App. This course starts by introducing you to Business Intelligence concepts, building a report, and dashboard, moving on to importing and modelling data. You will also learn how to create and manage interactive data visualisations.

Audience

• This course is aimed at SQL Server report creators who are interested in alternative methods of presenting data. To attend this course, you are required to have knowledge of relational databases and reporting tools and an excellent knowledge of Excel, to our Level 2 course outlines.
  Some basic knowledge of data warehouse schema topology (including star and snowflake schemas). And some exposure to basic programming constructs (such as looping and branching) is preferred. An awareness of key business priorities such as revenue, profitability, and financial accounting is desirable.

Objectives

• : To become proficient in Power BI, to be able to create and manage complex Power BI reports, and dashboards. This Power BI course aims to equip participants with the skills to efficiently import, transform, and visualize data, utilizing components like DAX for effective analysis. The course also covers advanced features, security measures, and integration with Microsoft 365 applications, fostering the ability to design and deploy impactful BI solutions.
