- This course starts you at the beginning of Access. It will guide new Access users through the powerful Microsoft Access program. You will gain a fast, practical and extensive knowledge of the powerful features of this package, explaining the structure, design and capabilities of databases.

Section 1: Tables
In this first section, you’ll learn how to create a table;
- Opening the Access Application;
- Create a blank access database
- Create a table using design view
- Create field names and assign data types
- Use the primary key
- Modify table properties
- Add, delete, edit records in datasheet view
- Sort and filter records in datasheet view
Section 2: Queries
The second section covers everything you need to know about creating and running queries;
- Create a query in design view based on a table
- Add and remove fields from an existing query
- Setup criteria:
- Use OR and AND queries
- Use wildcards and operators in a query
- Sort a query
Section 3: Forms
This section covers creating forms; so that it is user-friendly;
- Create a form based on a table using the wizard
- Change the layout of the form in design view
- Add company logos to the form
- Add text to the form
- Add, delete and edit records in form view
- Delete a form
Section 4: Reports
This section covers creating reports for printing purposes;
- Create report based on a table using the wizard
- Change the layout of the report in design view
- Modify the title of the report
- Insert a date into the report

This section covers what a one-to-many relationship is, and how to export content to excel for further analysis.
