PHP and MySQL have become the development platform of choice for many professional web designers. PHP and MySQL combine to create a simple yet powerful way to create dynamic web pages that actually interact with your visitors. PHP is widely supported and hosted on commercial websites without the need for expensive licences.

There is a wealth of free resources and support tools to help you fully exploit PHP and MySQL and take advantage of open source projects. The PHP language is intuitive to learn and supported on both Windows and Linux platforms. Users familiar with languages such as C, Java, Visual BASIC and JavaScript will find the transition to PHP intuitive.
